Recurring subscription failed due to insufficient funds

In this page we will detail the cases when a recurring subscription fails due to insufficient funds:

 

Recurring subscription purchased with credit card

If a user with an active recurring subscription paid with Credit Card (Package, Channel Group, Premium Channel) has insufficient funds in his account on re-billing date, then the payment will not be completed.

If on the second subscription month, the user has no money on his credit card, the subscription will be canceled in Streaming platform starting with next day.

If on the third subscription month (or later) the user has no money on his credit card (the previous recurring payments being successfully completed), the subscription will be canceled in Streaming platform starting with next day.

The credit card system will try every month to complete the payment on the recurring date. If the user has enough money on his credit card account, the Streaming platform subscription will be reactivated starting with that date.

As a Streaming platform user, you have the possibility to update your credit card details, from your user account.

Important: In case the user creates a new subscription in Streaming platform, the recurring failed subscription will be canceled. The user will have only one active subscription.

 

 

Recurring subscription purchased with PayPal

If a user with an active recurring subscription paid with PayPal (Package, Channel Group, Premium Channel) has insufficient funds in his PayPal account on re-billing date, then the payment will not be completed. PayPal will make 3 re-bill attempts during the next 10 days including that current day.

The subscription will be active in Streaming platform during these 10 days.

If the user has money on his account during these 10 days, the Payment will be processed successfully and the recurring subscription remains active. If the payment is not processed during this period, subscription is canceled in Streaming platform and PayPal.

Important: In case the user creates a new subscription in Streaming platform, the recurring failed subscription will be canceled. The user will have only one active subscription.
